Oh I just used to spend so much time and 20c coins when I was 18 and in the local pub playing my very favorite arcade games. Space invaders was great but I really, really loved Gyruss. I used to play Galaxican as well. But Gyruss was and still my favorite. I can play on my computer with a joystick, but nothing beats sitting over those game tables, pushing the button furiously and almost ripping the joystick off.
Ahhhhhh, the memories.

I used to play Pacman all the time with my sister. Although I'll hold my hands up right now and say she was always better than me. I still play it though which doesn't actually make me any better than I used to be. I can still only just about conquer the first 10 to 12 levels and then it becomes all so difficult for me! Pacman even released a Miss Pacman for the ladies! How cute is that?

LOL yeah Pacman is a lot more challenging than it looks. But I was a spaceship shoot-em-up junkie, so I only played Pacman if there was nothing else to play. I never thought I'd like it but I did.

I love playing Pacman. I feel that it is probably one of those games that will never die. Ive downloaded it on my cell phone to play it occasionally, and my father in law bought of those plug in play game controllers you can put into your tv and play too. It has pacman on it. While it may look easy--it can be challenging..lol  Its a great way to pass a lil time if you are bored... |

Now I know I am with family. I actually bought the old arcade plug and play games from the store. I needed my kids to see what games were really about. They played, won and moved on within a day. BAH on them!

I bought those for my kids last Christmas and they were intrested for all of 10 minutes  but thats ok I really wanted them for me and hubby anyways lol.

I like Ms. pcaman the most because unlike the original pacman, Ms Pacman didnt have any patterns that you could learn to cheat through each level which made it challenging to play.

I got one of those things for my kids as well. Since they don't have any other game system right now, they still think its grand (they are young as well). Pacman, Pitfall, Adventure (some adventure!) and Dodge 'Em. I had four versions of Atari growing up, including the first one. Heck, my Dad bought us Pong when it first came out.
I love classic games for the nostalgia factor.

Ashley do you remember how the outdoor arcades used to be the hot spot in town? I really miss those old days when everyone was huddled around the pinball machine or arcade video game and just enjoying the night away.

i miss the old arcade games...i haven`t seen any for a long time...when i was young there was like an invasion of arcade games but now they vanished.i`d love to get in an arcade hall |

Yeah, pacman and space invaders were fun. I remember how the local council passed an ordinance because the kids were spending more time at the parlors than at school. I don't really miss them that much because I have arcade-type games right now in my PC like frozen bubble. |

I love Pacman too, but for me the best is still the Super Mario. I had finish it a couple of times. As I remember, they also have this cartoons which I was always watching every Saturday. I love it, when they are traveling to different dimensions.

Defender was one I used to play all the time. We actually still have our Atari system but have not played it in years. I used to play all those games. Space Invaders I would play until my hands cramped up. Those were actually some fun games back then.

Pacman and Tetris are my favourites. I have both of those downloaded onto my cellphone and play them once in a while to pass the time when I'm waiting for something. The old arcade games are great because they're so simple but challenging, something that many new games don't often do.

My favourite old arcade games would be River Rider and Star Riders. At the time they were state of the art computer games ...
