What is your all-time favorite video game?

I love Final Fantasy, Resident Evil, and Halo. I own almost every single game from each of these series. I can't just choose one to be my all-time favorite.

Oh I love Resident Evil especially Resident Evil 2! It was one of the first games I ever played and really got into.

I would say the GTA series and every gangster game that is available out there. From godfather to scarface. I just love them and also the halo series is amazing.

I'm surprised that no-one's mentioned Half-life yet. Half-life probably redefined the FPS genre (i was stuck with playing two-bit aircraft simulators before it came) with its plot driven gameplay and puzzles instead of one-dimensional, wafer-thin gameplay which in essence required the p_layer_ to move from point a to point b, guns ablazing. I sing the same praises for its companion game, Counterstrike though. I thought that that was probably one of the weakest multip_layer_-orientated games ever made.

I like delta force land warrior. I bought it when it first came out and i still like playing it today. The graphics were way ahead of their time, and
the fact that you can play in the first person or against others online with many different varioations of land terrain , fog and sea.

I like most of the games you guys already mentioned - Halo, Half-Life, GTA, etc. My favorite game, though, has to be Starcraft. It really opened me up to gaming (I started playing it when I was six or seven) and overall it's so simple yet so fun. I like anything by Blizzard, but Starcraft started me off gaming and I sometimes still play it even after all of these years.

I can't wait for Starcraft 2

So what got you hooked on starcraft roffle? Was there any particular aspect of that game? Im gonna check it out online today. For me any war game that
allows the computer opposing side to have pretty good intelligence and adapt to your game is something that will always keep me coming back for more.

Castlevania, the old version and Metriod when it first came out. Those games were the best like ever!

Starcraft had (and still has) some of the best gameplay out of any strategy game ever. You can get into it pretty fast but there are so many techniques and plays that there's a lot of variety. Although I didn't particularly like the user generated maps (Warcraft is better for that kind of stuff) the initial gameplay is amazing.

I still love Mario and Tetris the most even after playing many, many games. The _meta_l Gear Solid series of games are great and there are many other fantastic ones to play but the older games always seem to be the most fun overall. Maybe it's the simplicity but games where the _object_ive is clear and there are only a few buttons to hit always end up as my favourite. Maybe I'm stuck in the past?

I to loved Metroid. The first one. I loved it because there just seemed to be so many twists and turns within the game. It actually took me quite awhile to beat the game and I had to buy one of those magazines that helped me be able to get through it. Another one was Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy for the PS2.
