SCIFI you have a chance to make a difference... to gain a unique audience that can only grow. If the potential to pick up the whole show is finanically a burden there is enough "spin off" potential to make it a viable draw. I wouldn't be surprised if Sprint wouldn't follow it on over and help offset the business aspects of production.
This show got really horrible ratings because of poor time slots and sporatic separations for a variety of programming disruptions. Ballgames, holidays, politics all seemed to hit the slot. The timing of the show made it difficult for folks that wanted to see it. The promotion of it through previews and ads was sorely placed and sparse at best.
SCIFI you have the opportunity to pick up another following that would easily last for a 3-5 year time _frame_. Now that would be certainly a big draw for the 18-55 age range that are being sought by the major industries. This would be a lucritve business move in that alone. Given decent promotion and consistent timing you would have a large following that can only be deemed an asset. NOT to mention a Jerichon (Jericho Convention)already committed to for this May. It give SCIFI an even bigger jump with little investment except to show up and announce that you have picked up the show.
So if I can't convince you that the show standing alone is worth it, I hope that you will consider it from the business aspect. People will buy the flags, the dolls, the posters, the dvd's, the full length movies, and anything else that arises from this in a "commercial" posture.
Ok I am going back to my corner to assume the fetal position from Jericho withdrawal....
